This project involved the restoration of the paintings in the interior and the exterior of the residence Schasser-Weihrauch Di Pauli in Caldaro. At the end of the 18th century the residence was build by the wine merchant Franz Micheal Schasser of Thonheim.
We find neo-classical decorations above the window frames on the second floor. The large roof terrace has a panelling from the 17th century. The interior has been changed in the course of the 19th century by the South Tyrolean painter Michael Andersag. He was born 1799 in Pawigl and studied at Bolzano, Graz and Rome. He created many church pictures in his homeland. At the beginning of the 50s he went to America where he died between 1861 and 1865 during the North American Civil War.
The restoration included façade and the frescoes on the outside and on the ceiling of the house and the decorations grew on the inside. On the first floor the big mirror room and two other rooms has been restored; on the second floor the work included the great hall, the ceilings of two other rooms and the Loggia.
