The center of the interior shows the virgin and St. John standing under the cross. In the field on their right side we find Saint Urban, on the left Saint Notburga.
The entire surface was dusted off with the brush to remove the dust accumulated over the years. The painted inner surface due to the bad condition was cleaned only slightly with the Wishab sponge. These interventions were followed by the cleaning to remove the mold on the surface with the help of a toothbrush and a scalpel. For the outside we used an anti-mould solution. In the internal-painted zone this solution could not be used, as the drawing threatened to dissolve. The inside painted area of the color presented itself very delicate and sensitive; therefore the drawings and color scales were fixed in this zone with Peoval through the use of syringes, injections and a brush. The splitting of the color was treated after retouching with polivinilic alcohol. As the big whole in the basement has been closed with cement-based material we had to remove it; cement has a salt component which causes damage. We exchanged it with a lime-sand mixture. The inner pieces were made of marble powder and lime in order to obtain a thinner and finer mixture layer. We decided to repropone the original decoration on the outside which was gone lost. An impression of the existing pattern was taken and copied on the whole outer surface. This decoration was executed with lime colors like they were in original. The figures in the inner area were retouched with watercolours. At the end on the entire surface we applied a fixing product.
